Polly McShane is a student from Room 402 who takes great pride of her Lithuanian origins.
History[]
She is always trying to integrate, to make friends and is very passionate about spoons. She considers herself a perfect girl, has very good school results and reads a lot, but at the same time, she enjoys leaving anyone who is wrong, which explains the antipathy of her colleagues towards her. She is very attached to her goat, Schnitzy, and when she dies, Polly is deeply saddened. Her favorite dishes are: borscht, schnitzel and cookies. Polly likes to be told she smells like a goat. Polly is also a swimming teacher at the same class Arthur also enrolled, not knowing who would train him. She is the smartest student in the class with the highest score on the IQ test. In the episode "I Got a Boyfriend", Polly shows a video of herself learning to swim. In the episode of "Schnitzy R.I.P.", Polly's 13-year-old goat Schnitzy dies and Nancy helps her find a new goat.
Whenever Polly plans activities for the school, usually revolving around spoons or her home country, Lithuania. Nancy and/or Sanjay end up getting roped into it, the latter due to the fact that Sanjay's mother is friends with Polly's. She is disliked by almost the whole class due to her bossy, overly-passionate personality when it comes to Lithuania or spoons among other things as well as her habit of tattling on others. Penny seems to be the only one who is nice to Polly and Melanie seems to at least find her more tolerable than the rest of her classmates since she was the only one who willingly sat next to her.
She is mostly annoying to Nancy since she really wants to be Nancy's friend but Nancy does whatever she can to avoid her. In the episode "The Gazotski", Sanjay develops a crush on her whilst dancing it after seeing how pretty she looked dressed up, leading to him now willingly performing with her and when the play is over he asks if they could marry at 18 years old but she rejects him, outraged since Sanjay's performance didn't meet her expectations.
Her actual name is Polala, as mentioned by her mother.
Appearance[]
She wears circular brown glasses, with her hair tied in two short brown pigtails. She often wears a red and blue-striped dress and brown shoes.

She is disliked by almost the whole class due to her bossy, overly-passionate personality as well as her habit of tattling on others but she doesn't really mean any harm and seems unaware that her classmates don't like her. She takes great pride of her heritage and never wastes a chance to speak about either Lithuania or spoons.
Trivia[]
- In the original books, Polly and Molly were twin sisters, where Polly was pretty but a bad student, meanwhile Molly was a good student but messy looking. In the show, Molly was removed as a character, Polly remaining as a stand alone character with good grades and no siblings.
